My fingertips tap the keyboard as I wait at Logan International Airport (Boston) for my Air Canada flight to Toronto. That’s the first stop in this journey. After a month and a half of GMAT crunching and putting my life in order — that sounds horridly morbid, but it’s essentially true — I finally find myself about to cash in my one-way ticket to the PRC. I’d like to thank Air Canada for the following: An amazingly low one-way fare, no baggage fees, super easy check-in and friendly counter agents. Let’s hope the flight itself continues the trend.
After a 3-hour layover in Toronto, I’ll be on my way to Beijing — and hopefully la la land, as I can avoid jetlag with a perfectly timed schluf. Sean’s flying from LAX through Vancouver, so those crazy Canucks get us both for brief time today. We’re attempting to meet up in Beijing. You really can’t do anything but attempt when arriving into the largest airport terminal in the WORLD. If anything, our first moments in Beijing could prove quite interesting. So, 再见, America!
