An Appetite for Adventure

After years of “playing it safe,” “doing what’s right” and “towing the line,” my toe is tickling the cusp of a new life full of travel, creativity, self-discovery and education both formal and informal. These musings chronicle my search for the extraordinary, in places both big and small, far and near. I nabbed a one way ticket to adventure and I can’t wait to use it.

A bit more about me …

Born and raised near Boston in Quincy, MA, I discovered the world beyond America’s East Coast when I first traveled to Europe in 2000. Bitten by that most delightfully infectious creature, the travel bug, I soon found myself climbing Mt. Fuji in Japan, watching the shadows tilt on Machu Picchu in Peru, deftly avoiding weaving motos in Hanoi, diving in the milky waters of Iceland’s hot springs, bargaining in Istanbul’s main bazaar, snorkeling in the seas off Thailand, and much more. I co-authored Let’s Go: Washington D.C. (2000 edition) and Let’s Go: Barcelona (2003 edition), and enjoy writing, singing, electronic music, tap dancing, storytelling and finding crazy adventures around every turn.
